Qualifications

• Read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
• Capable of handling structural steel fittings and preparing joints.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts specifications.
• Lay out, measure, cut, fit and align structural steel plates, stiffeners, bulkheads, and other vessel components.
• Prepare joints and position materials for welding.
• Use cutting torches, grinders, and fitting tools safely.
• Check dimensions and alignment to ensure work meets specifications.
• Follow shipyard safety procedures and work closely with welders and other trades.
