Job summary

KPFF’s Special Projects Group is seeking qualified Structural Engineers/Certified Divers for challenging port and marine projects across the United States. You will engage in design, inspection, and project management for diverse structures including marinas, shipyards, and ferry terminals.

The role requires EIT with PE/SE preferred, and hands-on diving capability. Hybrid work options and a strong benefits package support career growth and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis is required.
• MS in Civil Engineering preferred (structural emphasis).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with underwater and topside inspection of marine infrastructure.
• EIT is required, PE or SE preferred.
• Ability to operate on SCUBA and small watercraft; knowledge of relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural and marine projects including port developments and waterfront facilities.
• Perform underwater and topside inspections and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver design-build infrastructure solutions.
• Support project management with budgeting, scheduling, and safety planning.
