Job summary

Russell Marine LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to support management of marine, heavy civil, and railroad projects. You will direct, coordinate, and assist in delivering projects safely and on schedule.

Duties include aiding in bidding, maintaining submittals and RFI logs, updating drawings, creating project schedules, and monitoring costs and progress. Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering, TWIC (or willingness to obtain), a valid driver's license, and strong Excel and

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering from an accredited college.
TWIC or willingness to obtain upon hire; valid driver’s license.
Proficient with Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Two years’ experience in project engineering in construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist throughout the bidding process by obtaining multiple quotes and developing estimates.
Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination including weekly safety inspections.
Prepare and maintain project controls including submittals, RFIs, logs, and redline drawings as the project progresses.
Prepare project schedules by studying the project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
Monitor costs and project progress including cost budget sheets, manhour tracking, quantity claiming, and material and equipment tracking.
Create quality control plans and work plans.
Facilitate project productivity reports to management and prepare monthly pay estimates.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
