Job summary

AAA USA is seeking a skilled Marine Pipe Welder to perform high-quality welds aboard vessels, in accordance with shipbuilding standards. The role requires TIG, MIG, and stick welding on various pipe materials and close adherence to blueprints and welding symbols.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in shipyard or industrial settings and be able to pass ABS, NAVSEA, or USCG tests. Relocation assistance and benefits are available; multiple U.S. locations are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience in shipyard or industrial settings.
• Ability to pass welding tests per ABS, NAVSEA, or USCG standards.
• Familiarity with carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless steel piping.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloy pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
• Prepare and set up pipe and pipe fittings for welding.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds for quality.
• Work in confined spaces, on elevated surfaces, and in various positions.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition and follow safety protocols.

The Marine Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welds on pipes and related components aboard vessels, in accordance with shipbuilding standards and specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Perform TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloy pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
• Prepare and set up pipe and pipe fittings for welding.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Work in confined spaces, elevated surfaces, and various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Assist with fitting, cutting, and prepping pipe materials as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience in a shipyard or industrial setting.
• Ability to pass welding tests in accordance with ABS, NAVSEA, or USCG standards.
