Job summary

AAA-USA Inc. is seeking a Marine Pipe Welder to perform high-quality welds aboard vessels in accordance with shipbuilding standards.

The role requires travel/temporary relocation to Pascagoula, MS, Lockport, LA, and Houma, LA, with relocation assistance available. Essential duties include welding with TIG, MIG, and stick processes on various pipes, reading blueprints and welding symbols, and inspecting welds for quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years pipe welding experience in shipyard/industrial setting.
• Able to pass welding tests per ABS, NAVSEA, or USCG.
• Familiarity with carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless pipe.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloy pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
• Prepare and set up pipe and pipe fittings for welding.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Work in confined spaces, elevated surfaces, and various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Assist with fitting, cutting, and prepping pipe materials as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

The Marine Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welds on pipes and related components aboard vessels, in accordance with shipbuilding standards and specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Perform TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloy pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
