Job summary

ARMADA INC. is seeking an Outside Machinist for our shipyard facilities in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves removing, repairing, and aligning propulsion machinery and auxiliary equipment, following blueprints and safety standards.

You will repair and install machinery, perform tests during dock and sea trials, and work with the team to ensure quality work and prompt project completion.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Completion of a vocational/technical school or apprenticeship program is a plus.
• 1+ year of related experience is preferred.
• OSHA 10 Maritime Standards may be provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, overhaul, install and align main propulsion machinery and related equipment.
• Install and align auxiliary systems such as condensers, pumps and valves.
• Test and inspect installed machinery during dock and sea trials.
• Work from blueprints using hand and measuring tools.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure safety and quality standards.
