Job Title: Marine Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Marine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of marine engines and boat systems. This role is hands-on and crucial to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our customers’ watercraft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on inboard, outboard, and sterndrive engines (gas and diesel)
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, impeller replacements, and winterization/spring commissioning
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel systems, cooling systems, steering systems, and hydraulic/electrical systems
• Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to inspect engines and components
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair timelines to customers or management
• Install new marine equipment such as motors, navigation systems, and bilge pumps
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a marine mechanic or in a related mechanical field required
• Certification from ABYC, NMEA, or manufacturer training but not required
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, systems, and repair techniques
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to lift heavy parts and work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work Conditions:

• Indoor/outdoor marina or shop setting
• Full-time; occasional weekend work may be required during peak seasons
• Tools and safety equipment provided or reimbursed as applicable
