Job summary

Dolphin Quest Oahu is seeking a Marine Mammal Specialist II to oversee training and daily care of the animal collection on Oahu, and to assist in delivering high-quality guest interactions.

You will share knowledge about Dolphin Quest, participate in meetings, maintain safety and service standards, and support branding guidelines while fostering environmental responsibility.

• Share knowledge of Dolphin Quest, its history, the habitat and the dolphins.
• Actively pursue Quest Engagement to cultivate Guests’ interest in dolphins and Dolphin Quest programs.

• Participate in training and site meetings.
• Maintain excellent quality standards for customer service and guest interactions.
• Maintain regular communication with assigned teams regarding all relevant projects.
• Maintain safe working conditions and report safety concerns promptly.
• Adhere to branding and logo usage guidelines and standards.
• Serve in whatever role is needed for better company efficiency and productivity.
• Assist Guests with life jacket fittings and program preparation.
• Be environmentally responsible and support community involvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Summary: The Marine Mammal Specialist II is responsible for training and day-to-day care of the animal collection at their Dolphin Quest location and assisting in providing quality animal interaction experiences for our guests.

Typical Responsibilities for all Crew Members:

Share knowledge of Dolphin Quest, its history, the habitat and the dolphins.

Actively pursue Quest Engagement to cultivate Guests’ interest in dolphins and Dolphin Quest programs. Embrace the Dolphin Quest “open door” policy where Crew Members are free to express their concerns and feelings without fear of retribution or ill will.

Participate in training department and general site meetings.

Maintain excellent quality standards for customer service and guest interactions.

Maintain regular communication with assigned teams regarding all relevant projects.

Maintain safe working conditions and ensure safety concerns are reported and resolved quickly.

Ensure adherence to all Dolphin Quest and partner guidelines and standards.

Adhere to branding and logo usage guidelines and standards.

Serve in whatever role is needed for better company efficiency and productivity.
