Job summary

Vigor Marine Group, an established marine maintenance and services partner, seeks workers for yard and boiler/stack setup, cleaning, and support roles across four shipyards. You will operate clean-up duties, assist with pumps, and follow safety/environmental measures, with a team-oriented environment in a federally contracted setting.

This role requires basic math, English literacy, and safety certifications; a high school diploma or GED is preferred, with valid fire watch and respirator

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; experience considered in lieu of education.
• HAZWOPER First Response Awareness Level and respirator certification required or preferred.
• Four-hour fire watch certification and related safety certifications are listed.

Responsibilities

• Complies with craft and shipyard safety and environmental measures.
• Performs transportation, cleaning, and fire watch duties supporting shipyard projects.
• Cleans vessels, docks, valves, tanks, and related equipment as directed.
• Works in a team environment and assists boiler/stack setup and steam cleaning.
• Safe handling of hand and power tools and proper care of company property.
• Performs similar work across yard areas as needed.
