The position is full-time in La Jolla, CA, offering benefits and a pay rate of $30.00-$34.00 per hour, with overtime anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years related experience or 7 years total education/experience.
• Experience in a molecular lab with genetic research including DNA extraction and sequencing.
• Experience with relational databases and data entry.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Process tissue samples for genetics projects including DNA extraction and sequencing.
• Provide core molecular lab support: reagents, autoclave, ordering, and equipment.
• Prepare and manage lab data, SOPs, and safety documentation.
• Participate in site meetings to exchange information and updates.
• Engage in fieldwork and stranding response as needed.
• Assist with data entry, data summaries, and site data management.
