Atlantic Detroit Diesel-Allison is seeking a skilled diesel technician to diagnose and repair customer vessel engines and propulsion systems both on-site and at sea. The role covers extensive diagnostics, major mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance with emphasis on safety and quality.

Trainees should be prepared for overtime, weekend hours, and travel to customer sites. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of related experience, and a clean driving record;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years related experience required.
• Technical degree or certification in a diesel engine program preferred
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform major repairs on customer equipment.
• Order parts with the parts department to complete repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance according to guidelines and schedules.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow quality standards and safety procedures.
