Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC, is seeking a Marine Field Manager in Harahan, LA to oversee field operations for the marine installation department. You will supervise piping installation projects, coordinate crews, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

This role requires at least five years of piping experience, prior supervisory work, and the ability to plan inspections, manage project costs, and collaborate with design and sales teams to deliver safe, on-time results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 5 years in various piping installation.
• Experience in supervisory/managerial roles preferred.
• Knowledge of pipefitting and pipe welding processes.
• Experience developing pneumatic and hydrotest packages and witnessing tests.
• Basic computer skills (word processing, email, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to review designs for constructability and identify challenges.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage manpower, material, and equipment for shipyard projects.
• Review project hours and provide status updates.
• Obtain material quotes and generate takeoffs.
• Manage project costs to maintain profitability.
• Schedule AHJ inspections, including pressure testing and final inspections.
• Plan training for installation technicians.
• Communicate daily with installation teams and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Marine Install Manager and leadership for reviews.
• Attend weekly construction kick-off meetings.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and conduct safety audits.
• Ensure installations meet codes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with sales for cost estimates and with design for flow tests.
• Other duties as assigned.
