Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, part of HII, is seeking on-site Electricians to install and repair marine electrical systems. You will work with wiring, lighting, and power equipment, using hand and power tools, guided by blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

Requirements include two years of electrical experience (commercial, industrial, or marine) or an accredited electrical certificate/degree, or a mix of experience and schooling. Relocation is not provided. Telework is not eligible.

Qualifications

• Requires two years of electrical experience installing electrical wiring, equipment installation, and wiring hookup (commercial, industrial or marine) or two years from an accredited college with electrical certificate or degree, or a combination of two years of work experience and schooling.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs marine electrical wiring and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Reads and follows blueprints, drawings and schematics to install and connect lighting and electrical power equipment.
