Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Marine Electrician Journeyman to support installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and repair of electrical systems aboard U.S. Navy vessels and marine platforms.

The role requires working from drawings, schematics, manuals, and specs to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with Navy standards and shipyard procedures. Candidates should have naval ship experience and knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Journeyman experience in Naval ships.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Must pass a basic Journeyman test.
• Ability to obtain Naval Base and shipyard access.
• Knowledge of Naval electrical systems.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Terminate and test cables and components.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation on AC and DC systems.
• Inspect and replace motors, generators, transformers, and switchboards.
• Document work, inspections and testing results.
• Support shipboard system testing, dock trials and sea trials.
