We are a leader in Marine Support Services and Emergency Management. Serving as the Department of Navy's trusted Prime Contractor since 1964, we embark on a thrilling mission, managing, operating, and maintaining the U.S. Navy Inactive Ship fleet across diverse locations, including Norfolk, Philadelphia, Bremerton, California, and Hawaii. The journey begins here, and we invite you to set sail with us and make a real impact in our dynamic and innovative work environment! Buckle up for an adrenaline-fueled journey on military vessels such as destroyers, aircraft carriers, and an array of other awe-inspiring Navy vessels! Your golden opportunity for an exhilarating career is knocking - are you ready to answer the call? The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, where we are currently looking for a Marine Electrician to join our team.

What You'll Be Doing:

Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of various preservation and support systems, including dehumidification machinery, cathodic protection systems, and fire and flooding alarm equipment. This also encompasses associated components such as motors, transformers, control panels, rectifiers, sensing devices, and automatic control systems. In coordination with the Inspection Department, the incumbent performs periodic inspections and functional tests of preservation equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools, documenting results for official records and reports. Additional duties involve the fabrication, installation, and wiring of a variety of electrical components, including switch panels, indicating devices, resistance heating elements, lighting fixtures, and power or lighting cubicles. The position also includes the installation and repair of shore power systems for berthed vessels. While the workload is generally moderate, periods of elevated activity can occur during power outages, adverse weather conditions, or ship movements. Work conditions may occasionally involve operating at elevated heights, climbing vertical or inclined ladders, and assuming physically demanding positions such as kneeling, stooping, or maneuvering in confined spaces. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and preservation systems (e.g., dehumidification, cathodic protection, fire/flood alarms) including motors, transformers, rectifiers, control panels, and automated controls. Conduct inspections, testing, and documentation of equipment performance; fabricate, wire, and install electrical components such as panels, lighting, and heating units. Perform ship support tasks including shore power installation/repair and flood alarm system setup/testing, often independently and in dynamic operational environments. Work safely in physically demanding conditions (heights, confined spaces, lifting up to 60 lbs over a distance of 200 feet), respond to emergencies, and collaborate across teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
