Job summary

360X Staffing is seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on tugboats and marine equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diesel mechanical skills and experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex systems, performing routine maintenance, inspecting equipment, and recording workmanship details while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Marine/Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tugboats and marine equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and recommend repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot engines and vessel systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Ensure all work meets applicable safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
