Job summary

Saronic Technologies in New Orleans is seeking talented marine designers and drafters to support the development of autonomous surface vessels, applying traditional vessel design with cutting-edge autonomous technologies.

You will collaborate with naval architects, marine engineers, and electrical engineers to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to defense-oriented maritime innovation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology or similar field of study.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of CAD drafting experience.
• Strong fundamentals in vessel design: general, mechanical, electrical, structural and piping.
• Knowledge of maritime regulatory requirements, construction tolerances and processes.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software NX, ShipConstructor, AutoCAD and Rhino.

We are seeking talented and motivated marine designers and drafters to support the development of autonomous surface vessels. This role will provide hands‑on experience in traditional vessel design and advanced autonomous technologies; driving impact in defense innovation.
