Job summary

Redwood Strategy Group, Inc. seeks a skilled budget analyst to support daily Marine Corps civilian personnel funding and labor cost analysis. You will reconcile labor data, analyze pay period trends, and prepare reports used for management decisions and inquiries.

The role requires six+ years in federal financial management, advanced Marine Corps financial systems experience, and strong Excel/Power BI skills. Onsite near the Pentagon with eligible government security requirements.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of federal financial management experience.
• Advanced Marine Corps financial systems expertise.
• Knowledge of Navy/MC systems: PBIS, DAI, ADVANA, WYPC.
• Ability to analyze civilian personnel execution and explain labor cost variances.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Power Query and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civilian personnel budget execution plans and cost analyses.
• Compare annual controls with monthly pay-period execution, identify variances.
• Analyze labor execution and reporting trends; investigate discrepancies.
• Extract and reconcile civilian labor reports from DAI, WYPC, TFSMS, HRLink.
• Prepare monthly execution data and narratives for Navy, OSD, and congressional inquiries.
• Maintain labor metrics, issue logs, and briefing inputs for HQMC Civilian Labor Head.
• Support budget reviews and closeout activities, explain labor transactions.
