  • PhD in Marine Biogeochemistry, Biological Oceanography, Oceanography, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated biological oceanography research experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in radioisotope safety research.
  • Demonstrated experience in phytoplankton taxonomy or phytoplankton dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate how marine microorganisms regulate primary production, nutrient cycling, and carbon transformations in marine and coastal environments, and how these processes respond to environmental change and atmospheric inputs.
  • Under the direction of Distinguished Professor Adina Paytan, apply interdisciplinary techniques and tracers to seawater, estuarine waters, sediments, and atmospheric aerosols.
