Kennett High School is seeking a charismatic and student-centered Music Technician to join our marching band program, focusing on the percussion section and visual technique. The role involves teaching marching band fundamentals, coordinating with the percussion section, and preparing students for performances.

The position requires Band Camp attendance in August and Saturdays in September and October for competitions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Music Education preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting marching band coordinate charts is required.
• Prior experience as a marching visual technician is highly desired.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the percussion section, providing specialized guidance and instruction.
• Assist in teaching marching band fundamentals, with an emphasis on visual technique.
• Be available for long Saturdays in September and October for competitions and performances.
• Must attend Band Camp in August to help prepare students for the season.
