Job summary

Kaleidoscope is seeking a Native Platform Engineer on the Maps Developer Platform team in Austin, TX. You will work at the intersection of system frameworks, developer tooling, and cartographic technology to power Maps APIs and tools used by FindMy, Weather, Photos, and third-party developers.

You will collaborate across disciplines to translate client requirements into scalable code, design and implement APIs, and deliver cross-platform features within a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C.
• Proficiency with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
• Familiarity with system architecture and API design.
• Software engineering experience in a production environment.
• Proven track record of architecting, developing, releasing and supporting critically important software components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain complex problems clearly and succinctly.
• Passion to collaborate and iterate on ideas in a cross-functional team.

Description

As a Native Platform Engineer on the Maps Developer Platform team, you will work at the intersection of system frameworks, developer tooling, and cartographic technology. We build the APIs and tools powering the Maps Developer experience. On our team, you will help us take new features from conceptualization, through design and implementation! Furthermore, you will partner directly with a wide range of clients to build highly impactful mapping solutions, including FindMy, Weather, Photos, and 3rd party developers.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements from our clients and translate them into scalable, reliable code.
• Design, review and implement 3rd party developer APIs & Tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Interaction Design, Services, and other Engineering and Data teams.

Minimum Qualifications
