Job summary

Airbus Americas is seeking a MAP Engineer II A220 for the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama. You will develop and approve solutions for aircraft non-conformities, covering multiple systems including aircraft structures, with delegation to resolve issues.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and familiarity with aircraft systems, structures and MRB processes. Travel may be required; on-site work in Mobile."

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline is required or demonstrated competency.
• 3+ years of experience or demonstrated knowledge for the level of experience required.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification preferred.
• 10% Domestic and International Travel.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in implementing and using indication, alert and recording systems.
• Advanced knowledge of engine, fuel, pneumatic, APU, hydraulic, cabin systems and aerospace structure.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and configuration management rules.
• Proven problem-solving ability and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Create, approve and release technical solutions including justification reports for repairs/reworks and troubleshooting instructions.
• Involved in all aircraft systems and structures (metallic/composite).
• Analyze reported malfunctions and lead troubleshooting activities.
• Represent design offices, subcontractors and risk-sharing partners.
• Interface between design organization and manufacturing organization (Single Aisle Chief Engineer/Design Office).
• Create, check, approve and release technical design solutions.
• Support FAL US from delivery to ferry flight for all aircraft-related items and customer presentations if needed.
• Develop and monitor corrective actions and design updates to avoid recurrence.
• Create temporary aircraft definitions in line with airworthiness requirements.
