Job summary

Siemens Energy in Gibsonton, FL seeks an entry-level Wax Pattern Inspector for 2nd shift (M-F, 2pm–10pm). You will inspect wax patterns/assemblies, repair defects, and follow instructions to ensure high-quality wax configurations for mold processing in a site-based role.

You will work with specialized wax tools, communicate with engineering, and participate in cross-training across production areas to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous wax cleaner or quality inspector experience preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering instructions and perform basic metric math.
  • Export license compliance may be required for certain duties.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect Wax Patterns and Wax Assemblies for defects.
  • Create rework paperwork and share feedback with leads and engineering.
  • Repair defects when required using approved methods.
  • Work with wax tools and patch/smoothed areas as instructed.
  • Cross-train in production areas as needed.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Will be working in the inspection of Wax Patterns and Wax Assemblies to ensure a high-quality wax configuration for mold processing. Repairs Wax Assemblies as required. Participates in training and cross training in production areas. Follows work instructions to inspect and produce parts of exceptional quality in the Gibsonton Florida location.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Visually inspects Wax Patterns and Wax Assemblies for defects providing feedback to individual cleaners and assemblers.
  • Create Rework Paperwork and share feedback with Team Leader, Supervisor and Engineering Department.
  • Repair any defects when required.
  • Works with small hydrogen torches, hot plates, brushes, hot wax, irons, and a variety specialized Wax Hand Tools.
  • Follow written work instructions and photographs and use hand tools to patch, smooth and fills areas.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed and cross-training as needed.

What You Bring

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a Wax Cleaner or Quality Inspector preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively as this position requires permanent communication with Engineering and constant review of Work Instructions to ensure quality, good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills.
  • Able to perform basic math functions using metric system and read Engineering instructions.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
