Performix is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain manufacturing software and automation systems used to manufacture, program, calibrate, and verify its products.
The role focuses on owning software for programming stations, calibration systems, and end-of-line equipment, while collaborating with embedded, electrical, mechanical, and quality teams to improve throughput and reliability.
· Design, develop, and maintain the software, automation systems, and production infrastructure used to manufacture, program, calibrate, and verify Client’s products.
· This position owns the software that operates factory programming stations, production test fixtures, calibration systems, and end-of-line manufacturing equipment.
· Responsibilities include developing automated manufacturing software, integrating with electronic instrumentation, maintaining production traceability systems, and improving manufacturing quality, reliability, and throughput.
· This role works closely with embedded software, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to ensure products are efficiently manufactured and thoroughly tested throughout their lifecycle.

· Design, develop, test, and maintain software for manufacturing test fixtures and production equipment.
· Own all software used to manufacture, program, calibrate, and verify Client’s products.
· Develop automated production tests for printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and completed robotic systems.
· Develop software used to program embedded processors, Linux systems, microcontrollers, EEPROMs, and other programmable devices.
· Design and implement production test sequences, pass/fail criteria, automated diagnostics, and manufacturing workflows.
· Integrate software with manufacturing equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, electronic loads, relay controllers, programmers, barcode scanners, label printers, RF test equipment, and other electronic instrumentation.
· Develop software that communicates with embedded devices using USB, Ethernet, UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, JTAG, SWD, and other hardware interfaces.
· Collect, store, and manage manufacturing test results, calibration data, serial numbers, firmware versions, and production traceability information.
· Investigate manufacturing failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
· Improve manufacturing throughput, product quality, and production yield through software automation.
· Develop reusable software frameworks for manufacturing and production testing.
· Develop engineering tools to assist with hardware bring-up, production debugging, and failure analysis.
· Create and maintain manufacturing software documentation, operating procedures, and test specifications.

There is no security clearance required at this time, but applicant must be capable of working in the United States and obtaining a security clearance if required.
Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, manufacturing procedures, and software specifications. Ability to write technical documentation and effectively communicate with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Ability to perform engineering calculations, analyze manufacturing data, and solve technical problems encountered during software development and production testing.
Ability to solve complex hardware and software integration problems involving embedded systems, manufacturing equipment, and automated production test systems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of standard office software, Linux development environments, source control systems, scripting languages, integrated development environments, issue tracking systems, and manufacturing software tools.
