Job summary

Accuray in the United States is seeking a Test Engineer to develop robust production test processes and equipment, supporting NPI and quality improvements in a medical device manufacturing environment.

You will define test strategies, specify equipment requirements, oversee production test equipment, and perform calibration to maintain accuracy and regulatory compliance. FDA-regulated context preferred; NI LabVIEW, TestStand, SolidWorks, and firmware in C++/Python are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• Experience in test and tester development, hardware and software.
• Experience in equipment development through qualification processes.
• Strong project planning and execution skills.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with engineers, technicians, operators and suppliers.
• Experience in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Calibration and maintenance of electronic test instruments.
• FDA-regulated industry experience (preferred).
• Proficiency with NI LabVIEW, TestStand, SolidWorks, OrCAD/Altium, MySQL; firmware in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust test processes and equipment for NPI, quality, and COGS productivity.
• Ensure engineering specifications align with manufacturing needs.
• Define test strategies: what, where, and how to test, balancing coverage and cost.
• Define requirements and specifications for test equipment.
• Oversee design, build, qualification, and commissioning of production test equipment.
• Perform calibration and verification of electronic test tools to maintain accuracy and standards.
