Job summary

ASML US in San Diego, CA, seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to certify DUV laser systems for customer delivery. You will join a skilled team testing lasers, validating processes, and ensuring high-quality outcomes through troubleshooting and data analysis.

Responsibilities include functional tests, alignment, calibration, and collaboration with design engineers to optimize products. On-site role with daytime shifts; strong mechanical/optical skills and hands-on testing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• Strong engineering, technical, and physics fundamentals.
• Experience with precision optical components is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Tests laser systems and validates manufacturing processes.
• Performs functional tests, optical alignment, equipment calibration, station setup.
• Recommends changes in design, methods, and procedures to enhance product quality.
• Solves problems through troubleshooting and leveraging available resources.
• Trains others on areas of test processes and troubleshooting when required.
• Performs a variety of moderately complex technical service/support duties requiring specialized knowledge (i.e., sub‑assembly, assembly, build, test, R&D, QA).
• Interfaces with design engineers to support special tests and experiments with detailed instructions.
• Documents and monitors parameters critical to product quality or operations.
• Uses specialized test equipment such as leak testing, Hi - Pot and alignment instruments.
