Job summary

AbbVie in Texas is seeking a manufacturing technician for the Compounding B1 Shift (6am-6:30pm Thu/Fri/Sat and every other Wednesday). You will perform cGMP manufacturing tasks in the biologics production facility, work with engineers on setup and calibration, and use systems like LIMS and SAP.

Responsibilities include shipping finished materials, maintaining inventory, sampling, operating glass washer and autoclave, cell culture, and tangential flow filtration.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in science (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years relevant experience; BS with 1+ year is also acceptable.
• BS in Engineering with 0+ year relevant experience.
• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

Job Description

This is our Compounding B1 Shift:6am-6:30pm Thursday/Friday/Saturday & every other Wednesday
Performs functions associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the biologics production facility, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components and final materials. Uses sophisticated programs (such as LIMS, SAP, automated control systems, etc.) to collect and evaluate operating data, which can be used to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
