3rd Shift: 9:30 pm - 5:30 am, Monday pm - Saturday am

  • Apply mechanical, electrical, control, and pneumatic knowledge to troubleshoot and solve equipment and process problems for various automated equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize downtime.
  • Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.
  • Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.
  • Support equipment startups and shutdowns, which may include staying late to make sure equipment is in a safe-state.
  • Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
  • Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.
  • Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures.
  • Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
  • Responsible for quality and adheres to manufacturing process requirements, the Boston Scientific Corporation Quality Policy and the Strategic Quality Process (SQP). Proactively communicates quality issues and concerns.
  • Understands and applies a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and related principles.
  • Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) and implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings.
  • Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process improvement and scrap reduction goals.
  • Work with Process Development to integrate new products and equipment into production.
  • Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery.
  • Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians.
  • Understands and applies flex strategy, rotates as necessary and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally.
  • Actively participates in Shared Responsibility and continuous improvement teams.
  • Understands, follows and promotes all BSC and site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards.
  • Responsible for attending and passing all core required BSC and site-specific training (i.e. QS Basics, RTK, Lean Training).
  • Mandatory Weekend OT is required on a rotation recurring basis. Current OT requirement is minimum once (Saturday and Sunday) every 4 weeks.

Required qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with an AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attendance history.
  • Self-motivated to seek out opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Communicates well with peers about issues/problems that arise.
  • Previous technical line support experience in the Medical Device manufacturing.
  • Previous experiences in working with Manufacturing Automation.
  • Familiar with PLC wiring and control troubleshooting.

Maximum Salary: $71552

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
