Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for an onsite 12-month assignment in Austin, TX. The role supports production activities including kitting, packaging, assembly, labeling, and related tasks in a controlled environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on assembly and kitting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written procedures within a regulated manufacturing setting. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, kitting, packaging, or production preferred.
  • Hands-on assembly and kitting experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in life sciences or regulated manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing, assembly, kitting, and packaging per procedures and schedules.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and finished products accurately.
  • Fill, cap, label, and assemble vials, bottles, tubes, and related products.
  • Follow work instructions and established processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automated equipment after training.
  • Inspect products for quality and compliance; maintain records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; adhere to PPE requirements.
  • Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals.
  • Identify deviations or equipment issues and report them.
  • Complete required training and comply with ISO, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Shift: Monday to Friday from 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM

Summary

The Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for supporting production activities within a manufacturing environment, with a primary focus on kitting, packaging, assembly, labeling, and related manufacturing tasks. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to consistently follow established procedures and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with product assembly or kitting, preferably within a life sciences or regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing, assembly, kitting, and packaging activities according to established procedures and production schedules.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and finished products accurately and consistently.
  • Fill, cap, label, and assemble vials, bottles, tubes, and related products as required.
  • Follow written procedures, work instructions, and established manufacturing processes.
  • Operate manual and semi-automated manufacturing and filling equipment as trained.
  • Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Work effectively in standard and cleanroom manufacturing environments while following PPE requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Identify and report deviations, equipment issues, or other production concerns.
  • Complete required training and comply with ISO, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Maintain strong attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, kitting, packaging, or production experience preferred.
  • Experience putting products/components together; hands-on assembly and kitting experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a life sciences or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing production environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to operate manual or semi-automated equipment after training.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Work in standard and cleanroom manufacturing environments.
  • Follow required PPE and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 10 lbs. regularly, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive manufacturing and assembly tasks for extended periods.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while performing production activities
