Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Sedalia, MO, is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Technician who splits time between fabrication on the shop floor and field support. You’ll build PVC/CPVC systems, perform leak testing, verify installations, and troubleshoot live systems with customers on site.

Ideal candidates read drawings, work confidently under pressure, and own the craft from day one. This role combines hands-on fabrication (~70%) with on-site startup activity (~20–30%), plus travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, field installation, startup, or troubleshooting.
• 1+ years reading drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment to cut, drill, and assemble PVC/CPVC components.
• Measure, fit, and assemble parts per drawings and work orders.
• Perform machine setups, routine maintenance, and troubleshoot to support production operations.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet standards.
• Maintain production records and report material usage or issues.
• Support field installations and system startups for aeration equipment.
• Collaborate with team and communicate with contractors and engineering.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
