Job summary

Siemens Energy's Gas Services division in Gibsonton, Florida, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician Core Borescope for the 2:00pm–10:00pm shift. You will perform visual inspections with a borescope on components, documenting results to determine disposition at the Gibsonton site.

The role is full-time, requiring attention to detail, ability to read engineering instructions, and compliance with export-control and U.S. work authorization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of inspections and rework activities.
• Ensure all equipment, including the borescope, is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Cross training and other duties may be assigned as needed.

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be working with visual inspection of various components utilizing a borescope unit. Operators conduct visual inspection in accordance with component work orders and indication maps. Visual inspection is conducted to inspect difficult to access areas such as internal cavities and areas of concern to ensure component integrity and free from foreign matters. Inspection results are documented, and results determine component disposition this will be in our Gibsonton Florida Location.

• Utilize a borescope to conduct thorough inspections of internal cavities in cores for defects.
• Identify and document any defects or irregularities found during inspections.
• Perform internal work activities, including removing excess ceramic flash from inspected cores and applying patch rework if necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and rework activities.
• Ensure all equipment, including the borescope, is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Cross training and other duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring

• Evidence of a completed High School or GED is required.
• Previous experience in quality inspection or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge or interest in industrial machinery and ability to read Engineering instructions.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
