Job summary

Siemens Energy in Gibsonton, Florida is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Technician Casting - Puller B on a Sun-Tue 6pm-6am schedule (Wed 6pm-12am). You will transport molds, operate hydraulics and pneumatic devices, and cast furnaces to produce parts that meet production specifications.

You will read engineering instructions, work with extreme heat, and help train others while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Evidence of a completed High School or GED is required.
• Ability to read Engineering instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work in extreme heat.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• This position will require an export license and the candidate must work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

• Transport molds into and out of the preheat furnaces and casting furnaces.

• Conduct post-cast procedures to production specifications for quality parts.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist training of other employees as needed.

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will be transporting molds into and out of the preheat furnaces, and casting furnaces. By operating hydraulics and use of pneumatic devices. As well as conducting post cast procedures. All tasks must be completed according to production specifications to produce parts of exceptional quality in the Gibsonton Florida Location.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Using hand tools such as wrenches, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measures, and levels.


• Operating a hoist.


• Following written instructions and using the Mercury system.


• Working with extreme heat.


• Able to become LOTO certified.


• Keeping area clean and organized and training other employees as needed.
