Job Summary

In this role as a Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift at Norma Precision Inc, you will be responsible for operating machines, packing ammunition, and conducting quality inspections. Attention to detail and a commitment to product quality assurance are crucial aspects of this position.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure machines are clear of debris and raw materials are loaded correctly.
  • Start and monitor machines to ensure smooth operation and quality standards are met.
  • Address any malfunctions or jams in machinery promptly.
  • Conduct quality inspections on the first run of products.
  • Clean and maintain machines according to guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following regulations and procedures.
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Perform Operator Level Quality Assurance checks on parts produced.
  • Pack ammunition into appropriate packaging for distribution.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Entry-level position.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent eyesight for close inspection work.
  • Knowledge of firearms and ammunition is preferred.
  • Technical aptitude to troubleshoot various types of machinery.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and communicate effectively.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Job Type

Full-time, Non-Exempt, 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear like work toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
  • Ability to hear and respond to soft and loud noises.
  • Flexibility to bend, twist, reach, and operate equipment safely.
  • Must be adaptable to changing work environments.
