Attalon inEast Granby, Connecticut is a manufacturing facility specializing in fiber optic coils for Interferometric Fiber-Optic Gyroscopes.

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Manufacturing Technician to support the production of precision fiber‑optical coils used in inertial navigation systems in the defense and aerospace industries. In this role, you will operate specialized winding equipment, handle optical‑fiber, and ensure all products meet specification. This position is ideal for candidates with strong fine‑motor skills, basic mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will work on our 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with fiber‑optic components, optical assemblies, or photonics manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001/AS9100 or similar aerospace/defense quality frameworks.
• Comfort with computer‑based manufacturing systems and data entry.
• Consistency in repetitive, high‑precision tasks.
