Job summary

Dexcom Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Technician II for the 1st shift (Monday–Friday) in San Diego, CA. You will perform product builds, operate equipment, and support pilot manufacturing to refine processes.

You will read engineering studies and document issues while collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality and Equipment teams. The role emphasizes problem solving, independent work in a production environment, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to interpret engineering study protocols and specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform product builds, equipment setups, changeovers and shutdowns.
• Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and determine root cause.

Manufacturing Technician II - Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

Where you come in:

• Perform product builds, equipment setups, changeovers, and shutdowns
• Execute defined manufacturing processes and approved equipment operations
• Support build readiness reviews to ensure materials, tooling, equipment, and documentation are in place
• Participate in pilot manufacturing builds, including development and refinement of new processes
• Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to determine root cause and corrective actions
• Execute approved equipment or tooling changes and communicate updates across the team
• Analyze process and production data and monitor live performance indicators (KPIs)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and evolving processes
• Read and interpret LHRs, MPIs, and engineering study instructions
• Document troubleshooting actions, observations, and build issues
• Collaborate cross-functional with Engineering, Quality, and Equipment teams
• Assist with equipment qualifications (IQs, OQs, PQs)
• Perform other duties as assigned
