Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Level 2 to join our space sector team. This is a 100% onsite role, with normal responsibilities to build rocket motor components and ensure safety, quality, and schedule performance.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with additional education/experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required and overtime/weekends are possible.

• Must have ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.
• Perform basic math and measurement functions.

Responsabilités

• The Manufacturing Technician performs hands-on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing rocket motor components.
• Tools handling, assembly/disassembly, operating equipment, surface preparation including anodizing and deburring.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and facilities.
• Performs as a team member to influence safety, quality, cost and schedule performance.
• Willing to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Able to pass a respirator FIT test.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in protective gear.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Job responsibilities

• The Manufacturing Technician performs hands-on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing rocket motor components.
• Tasks may include, but are not limited to, tooling assembly/disassembly, operating equipment, component surface preparation, including anodizing, contamination removal and deburring, drilling, assembly, maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities.
• Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, and cost and schedule performance of their team.
• Must be willing to perform shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Able to pass a respirator FIT test
• Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.)
• Able to read, comprehend, and follow established written instructions without deviation
• Perform basic math and measurement functions
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Must be willing to perform work on weekends and holidays as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Metal surface finishing hands-on experience
• Knowledge in Anodize/Alodine Processing
• Safe handling of hazardous materials
• Operation of industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools
• Can work independently or in a team environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
