Job summary

Astrix Inc. in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Manufacturing Technician to support QA, food safety and production in a food manufacturing environment. Performs routine laboratory testing, monitors equipment, documents results, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.

This contract role offers 1st shift 6am-6pm (4 days on, 4 days off) with pay $20-25/hour. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences preferred; HS diploma with 2 years experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine laboratory testing in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of QA and food safety practices and GMP compliance.
• Ability to document, record, and communicate test results accurately.
• Familiarity with writing records and reporting in a lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Conduct product analysis and accurately document, record, and communicate test results.
• Monitor laboratory instrumentation, perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting or repairs.
• Maintain laboratory records, databases, and customer specification documentation.
• Support food safety, quality, and regulatory programs by following established procedures and compliance standards.
• Assist with routine inspections, product evaluations, and laboratory trials under supervision.
• Identify and elevate technical or quality concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

Our client is a food manufacturing organization seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support quality assurance, food safety, and production operations within a food manufacturing environment. • Work in a food manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to dusty conditions and temperatures up to approximately 110°F.
