Job summary

Agru America, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for 12-hour rotating night shifts at our Fernley, NV facility. You will operate and monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure we meet production schedules and quality standards.

A high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and strong teamwork are required; related manufacturing experience is a plus. We offer comprehensive medical/dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, life and disability insurance, and growth opportunities

Manufacturing Technician - 12 hour rotating Night shifts

• Maintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilized
• Check the quality of products
• Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products
• Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns
• Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed

Skills/Abilities Needed:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary
• Ability to troubleshoot and multitask
• Basic mathematic skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; required
• Technical degree or certification, preferred
• Experience with 5s, preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required
• Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred
• Quality control experience, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping
• Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
