Job summary

Agru America, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for 12-hour rotating night shifts. You will operate and monitor plastics manufacturing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure production aligns with schedules and quality standards.

We value attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work nights and overtime as needed. Training will cover safety and material handling guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical degree or certification is preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience is required.
• Experience as a machine mechanic is preferred.
• Quality control experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
• Follow production schedules and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
• Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain understanding of raw materials and proper usage locations.
• Check the quality of products and weigh materials as needed.
• Inform shift supervisor about quality, equipment, and safety concerns.

Manufacturing Technician - 12 hour rotating Night shifts

• Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns
• Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed

Skills/Abilities Needed

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; required
• Technical degree or certification, preferred
• Experience with 5s, preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required
• Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred
• Quality control experience, preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping
• Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
