Job summary

Yunex Traffic Austin is seeking a hands-on testing technician to support product testing, calibration, and quality assurance in a hands-on role at our Wisconsin facility.

You will operate test equipment, interpret schematics, document repairs and performance data, and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety and 5S practices.

3 years of related experience and an associate degree preferred; strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

  • 3 years mechanical, electrical, or related experience in a production environment.
  • Associate degree in Electronic Technology preferred.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of material.
  • Proficient with hand/power tools and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, SAP).
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform product testing according to defined criteria using ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, HiPot testers, digital multimeters, and clamp-on CTs.
  • Inspect products and monitor equipment dashboards to identify issues
  • Conduct wiring, cable prep, and assembly per schematics and drawings
  • Troubleshoot test problems and elevate through quality tools
  • Document repairs, quality checks, and performance data
  • Support new equipment/process implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area following 5S and safety policies
  • Assist less experienced associates and participate in cross-functional projects
  • Basic computer skills are required.
