Base pay range

$27.00/hr - $45.00/hr

This is a full-time, onsite role on our campus in Norwood, MA.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, and skilled individual to join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician. The purpose of this role is to support manufacturing operations and the engineering team to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This individual will provide on-going technical support to day-to-day manufacturing operations, be responsible for the machine up time for our production and facilities equipment, and work with our engineering team to troubleshoot and maintain our equipment. As required, this technician will collaborate with our production equipment, manufacturing and process engineers, operations personnel and other stakeholders to troubleshoot, repair, integrate, and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on manually operated and automated equipment and machinery.
  2. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and failures.
  3. Collaborate and support manufacturing and process engineers to maintain and improve equipment and machine up time.
  4. Ensure all repairs and modifications comply with ISO 13485 quality system standards and facility safety protocols.
  5. Support the installation, setup, and execution of validation protocols of new or existing equipment.
  6. Maintain accurate records of repair and maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair history with a CMMS application.
  7. Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability, uptime, efficiency and preventative maintenance procedures.
  8. Support fixture designs and quick changeover solutions as required.
  9. Troubleshoots and diagnoses control system problems, working closely with engineering, maintenance technicians, and quality on resolutions and improvements/upgrades.
  10. Support facility systems, upgrades, infrastructure or maintenance as needed.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years of hands-on manufacturing automation/controls experience, preferably in the medical device and/or other highly regulated industry.
  2. Well versed in automation or complex electro-mechanical equipment applications, PLC controls and HMI programming (i.e Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley).
  3. Strong understanding of how to operate digital tools such as computers, smartphones and HMI interfaces.
  4. Working knowledge of electrical systems (208V and 480V systems), including sensors, wiring, and testing with diagnostics tools (multimeters, micrometers, tachometers).
  5. Diagnostic tool proficiency and proven techniques to identify root cause, analyze error codes, and inspect physical components to
