The Manufacturing Technician plays a vital role in the creation of Phantom Technology and Tissue stimulation under the direction of supervisors and engineers. The Manufacturing Technician performs a variety of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, testing, inspection, and production support activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This position contributes to the production of high-quality products by following established procedures, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. (Two positions open)
Key Areas Of Responsibility
Production Operations
- Perform manufacturing, assembly, testing, inspection, packaging, and related production activities according to approved procedures and specifications.
- Operate production equipment, laboratory equipment, hand tools, and measurement devices safely and effectively.
- Prepare, measure, mix, process, and handle materials in accordance with established work instructions.
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and identify nonconforming materials or products.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow applicable quality standards, work instructions, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Complete required manufacturing and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform inspections and verification activities to ensure products meet specifications.
- Support investigations and corrective actions related to quality or production issues.
Equipment & Workspace Maintenance
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards.
- Clean, maintain, and perform routine checks on manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
- Identify equipment concerns and report maintenance needs promptly.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and other team members to meet production goals.
- Participate in process improvement, efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Cross-train and support multiple manufacturing processes as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, laboratory, medical device, electronics, or related environments.
- Experience using hand tools, shop equipment, measurement tools, or testing equipment.
- Familiarity with quality systems, regulated manufacturing environments, or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with production documentation or electronic manufacturing systems.
