A leading consulting firm is looking for Precision Drilling Technicians for a 6+ month contract in Merritt Island, FL, with opportunities for overtime and potential contract extension or conversion to full-time. Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, expertise in precision drilling, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. U.S. citizenship and a valid driver's license are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-10 years in a manufacturing role in aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, or ladders.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or resident with a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications and work instructions.
  • Lean, 5S, Six Sigma experience preferred.

Job description

Precision Drilling Technicians for a 6+ month contract (with potential for extension) in Merritt Island, FL. (Plenty of overtime available, paid at 1.5x). This opportunity will start as a contract with the possibility of extending the contract or converting to an FTE.

A Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 PM
B Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
C Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00 am to 5:30 pm
D Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Responsibilities
  • Expertly perform installations of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specifications.
  • Take initiative in the transition from development to production, supervising qualification timelines and first article assemblies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-10 years in a manufacturing role in aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Precise drilling (close tolerance holes, decimal equivalent drill bits, fasteners, Powerfeed or Quackenbush drills).
  • Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, or ladders.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Prefer proficiency with continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN, 5S, and Six Sigma.

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), and have a valid driver's license.
