Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper in Knoxville, TN is hiring a Production Technician I to monitor production processes, operate equipment, and uphold safety and quality standards. You’ll engage in safety initiatives and lean daily management while contributing to quality improvements and cost reduction.

The role trains on the D1 shift before transferring to N1 and requires flexibility for overtime and weekend work. Benefits start day one, with comprehensive medical and retirement options.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior experience with operation of high-speed production machinery preferred.
• 1 year prior experience monitoring of product quality preferred.
• Ability to learn how processing and packaging equipment works; mechanical understanding preferred.
• Self-motivated team player capable of decision making, communication and problem solving.
• Comfort with basic computer functions and quick learning of production software.
• Basic mathematical skills for production calculations.

Job Overview:

This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit

Production Technician I - Knoxville, TN

The Production Technician I is responsible for monitoring Keurig Dr Pepper's production processes, including operating manufacturing equipment and maintaining compliance with Keurig Dr Pepper's high standards for safety and quality. This role will be engaged and understand initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.

Shift and Schedule

This is a fulltime position on N1: Monday - Thursday from 5:00pm - 5:30am OR 5:30pm - 6:00am.

• Will train on D1: Monday - Thursday from 5:00am - 5:30pm OR 5:30am - 6:00pm for the first month prior to transferring to N1. Flexibility to work overtime and weekend as needed is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
• Understand and help drive improvement to quality systems and policies (Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practicesand Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Learn to safely operate and monitor high-speed production equipment.
• Actively engage in resolving production line issues, executing and developing standard work, tracking production data, and participating in KDP's lean daily management process.
• Actively learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes with team members.
• Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

Total Rewards

• Pay starting at $20.01 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The employee will move to a higher rate of $21.07 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 1 year prior experience with operation of high-speed production machinery preferred
• 1 year prior experience monitoring of product quality preferred
• Ability to quickly learn about how processing and packaging equipment works. Mechanical understanding or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve.
• Comfort with basic computer functions and ability to quickly learn production software.
• Basic mathematical skills to make production calculations

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.
• Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
