Company Description

AgNovos is a biotechnology company that develops new treatments leveraging regenerative medicine to address persistent unmet medical needs related to bone disease. The Company was founded by Dr. James Howe, a renowned orthopedic surgeon with over thirty years of clinical and research experience. We are primarily focused on osteoporosis, a condition affecting millions, especially women, characterized by decreased bone mass, reduced bone quality, and increased fracture risk. In response to the osteoporosis crisis, AgNovos aims to transform bone health.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for direct manufacturing activities to produce the company's products, following all SOPs and GMP requirements. The role involves process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting routine manufacturing functions such as filling, packaging, labeling, and inspection. Opportunities for advancement into higher technician roles are available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support production lines in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Identify and segregate defective products.
  • Execute production activities per schedules.
  • Propose and implement process and equipment improvements.
  • Assist in investigations and projects to improve cycle time, material flow, and yield.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with engineering and quality teams.
  • Participate in qualifications and validations of processes and equipment.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste.
  • Record production data accurately in SAP and paper records.
  • Support warehouse and supply chain activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Preferred: Associate or technical degree in related field.
  • Training or certifications in QSR, ISO, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and process validation.
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

Additional Information

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, working in cleanroom and laboratory environments, and working with hazardous substances. Steel-toed shoes are mandatory in warehouse areas. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate ranges from $25 to $30, based on experience and market factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). This is an on-site position in Rockville, MD, requiring five days per week.
