Vector is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to help build unmanned aerial systems and support mission-critical defense projects. You will work with experienced technicians on electronics assembly, soldering, wiring, and mechanical integration, emphasizing attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or related production environment preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble drone components, harnesses, connectors, and subassemblies under guidance.
  • Perform basic soldering, wiring, cable and mechanical assembly using hand tools.
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards with precision.
  • Complete in-process inspections and prepare assemblies for Quality Control review.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace using 5S principles.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, non-conformances, or safety issues to Cell Lead or Supervisor.
  • Support production goals while maintaining high workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Technicianyou'll help build the next generation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) that support critical defense missions around the world.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble drone components, harnesses, connectors, and subassemblies under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Perform basic soldering, wiring, cable assembly, and mechanical assembly using hand tools.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards with precision.
  • Complete in-process inspections and prepare assemblies for Quality Control review.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace using 5S principles.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, non-conformances, or safety issues to the Cell Lead or Supervisor.
  • Support production goals while maintaining exceptional workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or a similar production environment is preferred-or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to perform basic soldering and build cable assemblies; IPC certification is a plus.
  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly using common hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to accurately follow written work instructions and assembly procedures.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Desire to learn new skills and grow within a technical manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with drones, UAVs, or UAS platforms.
  • IPC soldering certification.
  • Experience with PCB assembly, cable harness fabrication, or electronics manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills required for detailed assembly work.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to inspect and assemble small components.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial conditions.
