Tosoh Quartz is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support quartz component production in a high-precision environment in Portland, OR. The role involves cutting glass, performing bevels and edge features, and processing parts through multiple chemical and cleaning steps while adhering to customer specs and safety procedures.

You will read blueprints, measure with precision tools, and maintain equipment; strong safety discipline is required due to acid exposure up to 80% of the shift.

With over 300 dedicated employees and a reputation for excellence, we offer a dynamic environment focused on developing new products, fostering professional growth, and shaping the future of technology.As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assist in the manufacture of quartz components using a variety of tools and equipment.Shift Schedule: 6:00 am – 2:30 pmWhat you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz.Cut glass to the required lengths, cut in bevels, slots or other features, etch off layers to perfect glass and rinse item in acid bath between all steps.Produce and inspect in process products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents.Perform detail work, which may include waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, acid wash or other cleaning, cosmetic inspection of parts and other similar functions.Maintain equipment. Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.Wear and use all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) properly and in accordance with manufacturer and OSHA regulations.Important note: This position works with chemicals (including acid) for up to 80% of the shift. All employees must strictly follow all safety protocols and wear required safety gear at when working with chemicals.Who you are.Minimum requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to accurately follow instructions.Able to lift and extend with arms outstretched, up to 60 lbs. independently, or up to 120 lbs., with assistance.Aptitude for learning; blueprints, machine mathematics and precision measurement equipment.Able to wear all required, Company-provided safety gear during your shift.
