Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Sedalia, MO for 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM). You will measure, cut, fit, glue, and assemble PVC/CPVC components per drawings, using hand and power tools, and operate fabrication equipment.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, safety, and teamwork in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or similar hands-on production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic shop drawings, blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and basic measuring tools.
  • Basic knowledge and hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and production or fabrication equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow instructions and complete hands-on assembly/fabrication tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safe work practices.
  • Good communication, teamwork, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, fit, glue, and assemble PVC and CPVC components according to specifications, shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Operate saws, drills, routers, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment used in production.
  • Assemble components manually and with semi‑automatic or automatic production equipment, as required.
  • Perform basic equipment setups and routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Inspect completed products and perform required quality checks to ensure workmanship and specifications meet company standards.
  • Support material handling activities, including loading/unloading shipments, inventory, picking, packing, and material movement as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established safety procedures and production standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and adapt to changing production needs.

Job Overview

  • Previous experience performing product inspections, documenting quality checks, or completing quality forms.
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This position is fully site‑based in Sedalia, Missouri. The regular schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Overtime may be required based on production needs, including earlier start times and occasional Saturdays.
