Clayton is seeking dedicated Home Building Team Members to join our manufacturing operations. You will perform production tasks across departments, following standard methods and safe practices to maximize efficiency and safety on the floor.

We value teamwork, reliability and the ability to read plans. The role supports multiple departments and offers benefits and growth opportunities within a values-driven home builder.

Qualifications

• Even-tempered, positive attitude and strong teamwork.
• No recent attendance disciplinary actions.
• Must have been rated at least High Performing.
• No final written discipline in last 6 months.
• Ability to learn from feedback and follow procedures.
• Able to read confirmation orders and build with accuracy and urgency.
• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to read architectural/engineering drawings.

Position Summary

The Home Building Team Members perform the manufacturing production operations assigned to each department in the home building process. The position follows standard production methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Internal Qualifications

• Even-tempered and a positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork through communication
• Cannot be past Verbal disciplinary action for attendance
• Achieved at least “High Performing” on most recent evaluation
• No Final written disciplinary actions in the last 6 months
• Ability to learn from feedback & follow procedures
• Ability to read confirmation orders and build accurately with minimal quality issues while maintaining a sense of urgency
• High School diploma or GED preferred Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary. Clear and effective communication. Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired. Physical Demands: Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as other physical duties needed.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.
• Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
• Perform other duties assigned.
