Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a First‑Line Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation of a Richmond, VA manufacturing facility. You will guide frontline teams, drive safety and quality standards, and collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Planning to meet 4Z objectives.

The role requires visible floor leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement. The position emphasizes staff development, performance reviews, and capacity planning, with a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM core shift and flexibility for extended

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 2+ years work experience in Maintenance/Production/Quality.
• 1+ year in people management.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Advanced skills in ERP systems, MS Office, AutoCAD, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety inspections and weekly audits to drive improvements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Warehouse functions.
• Oversee 2 Team Leaders and 12–16 Team Members on shift.
• Recruitment and capacity planning based on factory load demands.
• Drive Kaizen and waste‑reduction initiatives on the production floor.
